Trainer-coach. No more, no less.
I am Frank Campman. I developed Issue-Focused Working (VGW) and I facilitate teams and organizations in healthcare and education in breaking patterns in meetings, decision-making, and collaboration. Directly, as trainer-coach, and with Metis, as a certified partner of Vraagstuk Studio. I work in English and in Dutch.

Background
I have worked independently with teams, management teams, and managers for more than ten years. Before that I was a team member, team leader, manager, and executive myself, in the Netherlands and abroad. In three and a half years of intensive practice-based research with more than 500 team sessions in Dutch long-term care (nursing homes, residential care, and home care), I developed the method Issue-Focused Working. The method fits all sectors, for teams that want to work on their own issues together. I myself now work primarily in healthcare and education; in other sectors certified partners work with the method, and they can count on my support.
I hold an MBA and I am a Master Action Learning Coach, and I was co-owner of WIAL Netherlands. In that time I developed the BMOB funnel, picture-forming, opinion-forming, judgment-forming, and decision-making as a working structure for teams, which has become the core of the method. I set that practice down in Stop Solving and the accompanying workbook. Vraagstuk Studio BV holds a license from me to turn the method into Metis, the AI colleague that guards the process; I work with it as one of the certified partners.
HealthcareEducationOther sectors through certified partnersWhat my work rests on
- Teams solve problems better when they first make the issue sharp. Not tackling the symptom, but discovering the core. That is the difference between repetition and breakthrough.
- Actions without ownership fade away. A name and a date do not yet make an owner. Ownership has to be anchored explicitly, not assumed.
- A good process structure gives calm, safety, and sharpness. Structure does not restrict; it makes room. Teams that know how the conversation runs dare to be more open.
- AI should strengthen collaboration, not replace it. Metis guards the process and never decides. The team always decides for itself.
“What drives me: meaningful work for people and organizations. Less bullshit work in team meetings. Better collaboration. Real decisions. Visible learning.”
What I do
Process facilitation. Facilitating teams in discovering, examining, and solving issues, with an eye for behavior: listening without judgment, curiosity, equality, reflection.
Organizational development. Making visible how collaboration, decision-making, roles, and patterns influence one another at team, management, and board level.
Author and speaker. On why teams keep getting stuck on symptoms, and what can be done about it. Book and speaker.
What I do not do
I am not a general personal-effectiveness trainer. Not a loose brainstorm facilitator without a methodical basis. Not a generic AI consultant. Not a software vendor without a change approach. Not a consultant who imposes ready-made solutions.
My work is not about meeting faster, but about discovering, weighing, deciding, executing, and learning better. My strength lies in structure over noncommitment, and in room for a different kind of conversation: one that makes the undercurrent discussable and produces decisions with buy-in.
